ah well... I posted it to the inkers list and they mentioned that there wasn't a lot of depth or separation in the first one (I was trying to be a bit more graphic in that one).. they all liked the second one better.. I like aspects of the first one better and other aspects of the second one..
I like these pages Gary. I know this might drive you crazy, but I'm thinking somewhere between the two. The second page appears a little too dark overall...either way they look nice , good use of zip tones and gradients!

Rory, I (and the whole inkers yahoo group) agree... it needs more highlights to pick thinks out of the grey..
